These cards represent the first complete proxy pack I created, exploring the world of Darkway and specifically the Isle of Dogs circa Empyre 472 to Empyre 488 (The time of the Murder of King Mere and the consequent War of Dogs and Gods, which the first Darkway book – in progress – will explore.) There is of course much more to the Darkway than the Isle of Dogs, but considering it’s the most explored area it seemed fitting to create cards with a focus on that area.
Overall had a great time creating these cards, designing everything from the border to the paintings to the flavor and effect text. Each of these cards addresses one of my actual MTG deck shortcomings in some way – especially the Empyric Procession.
